DAY 1 ANKARA – BOLOGNA – ROME
Meeting with our valued guests in front of the Freebird Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Esenboğa Airport 3 hours before the flight time. Following the baggage and ticket procedures, departure to Bologna on a special Freebird Airlines flight. After arrival, departure for Rome. Arrival in Rome and check-in at our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 2 ROME
Following breakfast, we begin our Rome city tour. During our city tour, the places to be seen include Castel Sant’Angelo, where Cem Sultan was imprisoned; Piazza Venezia, where Mussolini addressed the public; the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II; the Colosseum, which hosted gladiator battles; the Trevi Fountain, made famous by the film La Dolce Vita; the Spanish Steps, consisting of 135 steps; and the Spanish Steps fountain featuring a sunken ship. Following the tour, our guide will organize the Outlet & Lakes Region & Vatican Tour. After visiting the region known for its natural beauty, where the popes spent their summers, and the village of Nemi, famous for its wild strawberries and a place you will always want to live in, free time for shopping will be provided at Italy’s most famous shopping destination, Castel Romano Outlet. We then depart for St. Peter’s Square, regarded as the center of Christianity. Following our arrival, free time to visit the Basilica and the Square. Immediately afterward, our guide will organize the Rome by Night Tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 3 ROME
Following breakfast at the hotel, free time. Afterwards, our guide will organize the Naples & Pompeii Tour. The city of Pompeii, the first stop of our tour, remained buried under 7 meters of soil until the 18th century as a result of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. We will have the opportunity to see the houses, palaces and petrified people uncovered following excavations carried out at that time. Following our visit to the Pompeii open-air museum, we depart for Naples. Upon arrival, panoramic Naples city tour. During our city tour, the places to be seen include Piazza del Plebiscito, the central square of Naples; the Royal Palace, built in the 17th century; Castel Nuovo (New Castle); the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, inspired by St. Peter’s Square and the Pantheon in Rome; the Galleria Umberto I, home to various shops; the San Carlo Theatre, built in 1737 and included on the UNESCO World Heritage List; and the Port of Naples. Transfer to our hotel following the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 4 ROME – FLORENCE
Following breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Florence. Our guests will take the Orvieto Tour, organized by our guide along the route. After visiting the ancient city center and Orvieto Duomo in Orvieto, which holds an important place in Italy’s art and general history and boasts extraordinary natural beauty, we depart for Florence. Upon arrival, panoramic Florence city tour. During our tour, the places to be seen include the Arno River, which divides Florence in two; the Ponte Vecchio bridge, famous for its jewelry shops; Palazzo Vecchio, where the Medici family ruled Florence; Piazza della Signoria, home to the Hercules and David statues, masterpieces of the Renaissance; the Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo, featuring Italy’s third-highest dome; and the Baptistery, famous for its doors. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel in Montecatini. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 5 FLORENCE
Following breakfast at the hotel, free time. Our guests will participate in the Pisa & Portofino Tour organized by our guide. During our tour, after seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Piazza dei Miracoli, we will travel by boat to the world-famous town of Portofino, the subject of many songs. You will not get enough of this small town located within a national park. Transfer to the hotel following the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 6 FLORENCE – VENICE
Following breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Venice. Our guests will take the Bologna Tour organized by our guide along the route. During our Bologna city tour, the places to be seen include Piazza Maggiore (the Great Square), considered the center of Bologna; the Fountain of Neptune, located just behind the square; the Old Stock Exchange Building; Europe’s first university building; Quadrilatero (the old market); and the Garisenda and Asinelli towers, which have become symbols of Bologna. Following our tour, we depart for Venice. After arriving at Tronchetto Square, we reach St. Mark’s Square by a short boat ride and take a panoramic Venice city tour. During our city tour, the places to be seen include the famous St. Mark’s Square and Basilica; the Bridge of Sighs, from where prisoners took one last look at Venice before entering prison; the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge over it; the Doge’s Palace; the Bell and Clock Towers; and the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Free time following our city tour. Transfer to our hotel following the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 7 VENICE – MILAN
Following breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Milan. Our guests will participate in the Verona & Lake Garda Tour organized by our guide along the route. During our tour, the places to be seen include the house of Romeo and Juliet, the subject of one of history’s greatest love stories; the Verona Arena; the Scaligero Bridge, with its distinctive architecture; and Verona Cathedral. Following our Verona tour, we will visit Lake Garda, one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern Italy. Following our tour, we depart for Milan. Upon arrival, panoramic Milan city tour. During our tour, the places to be seen include the Milan Duomo, Italy’s second-largest church, whose completion took approximately 500 years; the Fortezza castle; and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, home to the world’s most famous fashion stores. Transfer to our hotel following the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 8 MILAN – BOLOGNA – ANKARA
Following breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Bologna Airport depending on the flight time. After completing the baggage and check-in procedures, departure for Ankara on a special Freebird Airlines flight. With our arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
