EXPRESS SPAIN TOUR 2027 SUMMER (MAD-BCN)

DAY 1                 ISTANBUL – MADRID

Meeting with our valued guests in front of the Pegasus Airlines check-in counter at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport 3 hours before the flight time. Following baggage and ticket procedures, flight to Madrid with a scheduled Pegasus Airlines service. Following our tour, we continue on our way to Madrid. We begin our Panoramic Madrid city tour with the large square called Plaza Mayor. This square has 136 buildings and 437 balconies opening onto courtyards. In the past, bullfights and people burned by the Inquisition were watched from these balconies. The city’s heart, Puerta del Sol; the large square called Plaza Mayor; Plaza de Oriente, where the Royal Palace addresses the public; Alcalá Gate, built as an entrance gate to demonstrate how wealthy the city was; Gran Vía, which impresses with its gallery-lined rooftops; Plaza Colón and Cibeles Square and Fountain; and the Cervantes Monument are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 2                 MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel in the morning, followed by free time. Guests who wish may participate in the Toledo Tour (80 Euros), which will be organized as an optional extra. Toledo is a genuine open-air museum and the former capital of Spain, and is one of the most important cities on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Hosting works by world-famous painters, the country’s most magnificent cathedral has become a rival to the world’s leading museums. Known as the city of El Greco, Toledo has managed to remain unchanged since the 16th century. With structures bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Arab, Gothic and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, El Greco’s paintings, traditional pastry shops, Damascene shops and, of course, its famous cathedral, it is a tourist crossroads. Another tradition in Toledo dating back to the time when the Arabs conquered the city is the production of almond paste. A visit to Toledo cannot be considered complete without tasting this mouth-watering confectionery. Following our walk through the Jewish quarter, departure for Madrid. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 3                 MADRID – BARCELONA

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Barcelona by our private bus. Along the way, guests who wish may participate in the Zaragoza Tour (35 Euros), which will be organized by our guide as an optional extra along the route. During our tour, the Ebro River, the Cathedral of Pilar, the city’s central cathedral, La Seo Cathedral, San Pablo Church, Plaza España and Pilar Bridge are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, we continue our journey. Upon arrival, Barcelona panoramic city tour. The capital of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and Spain’s second-largest city, home to the magnificent works of the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, attracts four times its population in tourists thanks to its works. La Sagrada Familia, also known as the “Unfinished Church,” Spain and Catalunya Squares, Gaudí’s houses (Casa Batlló and Casa Milà), Catalunya Square, La Rambla Avenue and Port Olímpic are among the places to be seen. Transfer to the hotel after the city tour. In the evening, guests who wish may participate in the Barcelona Night & Gothic Quarter Tour (35 Euros), which will be organized by our guide as an optional extra. During this tour, we will have the opportunity to see Barcelona, known as Europe’s sleepless city, illuminated at night. Afterwards, we set off for the Gothic Quarter, which we have not visited before. In this quarter, after visiting Barcelona Cathedral, the Temple of Augustus and Carrer del Bisbe, the area’s most famous street, free time for dinner. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 4                 BARCELONA

Following breakfast, guests who wish may participate in the Girona & Figueras & Mercat de la Boqueria Tour (95 Euros), which will be organized by our guide as an optional extra. We begin our tour with Girona, situated on the banks of the River Onyar and reminiscent of Florence at first sight, the wealthiest city in the region. A charming medieval city worth seeing with its narrow streets and cathedral, Girona is also the city where the film Perfume was shot. During our panoramic tour, we will see the Lion statue, Cathedral Square, houses with mezuzahs, the Jewish Quarter, Rambla and its famous shops. After free time, we set off for the city of Figueras, accompanied by views of the Pyrenees Mountains. The town has such an impressive atmosphere that it inspired the boundless painter Salvador Dalí, admired by the whole world, throughout his life. Here, we will visit the museum house decorated by the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dalí with his own hands. In this museum, where each work is valued at millions of dollars and which houses his thought-provoking works depicting his eternal love, Gala, we will have free time after our visit. Afterwards, we head towards La Rambla Avenue in the city center. Our next stop is Mercat de la Boqueria, the marketplace located on La Rambla, Barcelona’s most touristic avenue. Considered Spain’s most famous shopping destination, “mercat,” meaning “market” and “marketplace” in Spanish, is one of the most authentic places where you can experience the country’s shopping culture and observe the habits of the local people. We will have free time here. In the evening, guests who wish to spend the evening in an entertaining atmosphere may participate in the Flamenco Night (65 Euros), which will be organized as an optional extra. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 5                 BARCELONA – ISTANBUL   

Following breakfast, transfer to Barcelona Airport depending on the flight time. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, departure for Istanbul with a scheduled Pegasus Airlines service. Arrival in Istanbul and the end of our tour.
