Need to Know

Important Notes;
•    For this tour, a passport valid for 6 months, covering the minimum tour duration, is required.
•    LİDYA TOUR acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the 28.09.1955 Hague Protocol. 
•    During registration, the name as stated in the passport, date of birth, and passport number must be entered into the system. Air tickets are issued according to this information. No-show fees for air ticket cancellations or changes resulting from incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
•    The city where the aircraft lands may vary. LİDYA TOUR cannot be held responsible for schedule changes or possible delays caused by airline companies.
•    Airline rules apply to group tickets, and according to the group ticket rule, if the outbound flight is not used, the return flight cannot be used either.
•    The baggage allowance on most flights departing from Türkiye is 20Kg’s. This allowance may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. On domestic flights in the countries visited, this allowance may decrease to 15 Kg’s. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of LİDYA TOUR.
•    If the number of participants for the package tour is insufficient, the consumer will be notified of the tour cancellation 20 days in advance. 
•    The tour route specified in the tour program is an example route, and changes may be made to the tour itinerary. City sightseeing tours may be conducted on the following day/days depending on the time of arrival in the city. The excursions specified in the programs may, at the discretion of the guide, be conducted on another day for any reason, rather than on the specified day/days.

•    Extra tours along the route take place provided that at least 10 people from the group participate. Guests who do not wish to participate will be asked to wait at the rest stop. 
•    Excursions or tours that local authorities do not permit for any reason will not be conducted. LİDYA TOUR cannot be held responsible if these excursions or tours cannot be conducted. 
•    Museum and archaeological site entrance fees are not included in the prices.     
•    LİDYA TOUR reserves the right to change hotel names, provided that the star category remains the same.
•    All hotel names specified in the programs, etc. (and similar) are written as examples in terms of star category and distance. This does not mean that accommodation will be provided at the hotel with the specified name.
•    In rooms for 3 people, an extra bed is provided; the 3rd bed is smaller than a standard bed and / or is an additional folding bed. 
•    If children under the age of 18, who are not considered adults, do not participate in the tour with one or both of their parents, the consent forms required for participation in the tour must be kept with them during the trip.
•    In the event of cancellation or changes, the “LİDYA TOUR Sales Agreement” applies.

Tour Program
Day 1 Istanbul – Baku

Meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal 3 hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departing for Baku at 08:35 on Turkish Airlines flight TK332. Upon our arrival in Baku at 12:30 local time, our city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, located on the shores of the Caspian Sea, and the city attracts attention with its rich history, impressive architecture and modern structures. Our city tour here will begin with Upland Park, offering magnificent views of Baku Bay, Primorsky Boulevard, the Old City, the Maiden Tower and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. We will also visit the monument to the Turkish soldiers who fell during the battles to liberate Baku from the occupiers and have the opportunity to take photos with the famous Flame Towers in the background. Our next stop on the tour, Baku Boulevard, is considered a landmark and a favorite location for walking among both locals and visitors to the city. Afterwards, we will see the impressive Azerbaijan Government House and the elegant Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, and visit Governor's Garden and Nizami Street, one of Baku's liveliest pedestrian streets, filled with stylish boutiques, charming cafés and historic architecture. After our tour, we will transfer to our hotel and, following a short break, guests who wish may participate in the magnificent Old City (Icherisheher) Tour, to be organized as an optional excursion. (30 USD). In this tour, we will explore Icherisheher, the historic heart of Baku, located on a hill overlooking the Caspian Sea, and have the opportunity to see the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the iconic Maiden Tower (from the outside), fascinating caravanserais, mosques, traditional bathhouses and remarkable architectural treasures.  After our tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Guests who wish may participate in the magnificent Azerbaijan Night Tour, to be organized as an optional excursion. (75 USD) We will enjoy an unforgettable evening accompanied by Azerbaijan's traditional music. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Baku

Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Modern Baku Tour, organized as an extra activity. (40 USD). We will begin the day with a panoramic drive through modern Baku, visiting White City. We will see modern architecture and experience the atmosphere of the new Baku. Our next stop will be Military Trophy Park, where military spoils are displayed outdoors, dedicated to the country’s historical and patriotic spirit. After the Boulevard, we will have the opportunity to shop during free time at one of Baku’s best shopping centers, where you can find international brands as well as local designer stores.  Following the free time, we will take a photo stop at the Heydar Aliyev Center, which stands out with its modern and impressive architecture designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. The building was constructed to honor Heydar Aliyev’s life, political career, and role in the history of Azerbaijan. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 Baku

Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Gobustan Tour to be organized as an extra. (60 USD). Located 64 kilometers southeast of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Gobustan is a historical area included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.  This archaeological site, which is home to more than 6,000 petroglyphs (rock carvings), numerous ancient human settlements, dwellings, cemeteries, caves, and artifacts from various historical periods, is of great cultural significance.  On our return journey after the tour, we will visit the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, built in 1267, and also have the opportunity to see the world's first mechanically drilled oil well, established in 1846, located in the Bibi-Heybat settlement. Transfer to our hotel after the tour. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Baku – Istanbul

Free time after the breakfast we will have at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Fire Temple Ateshgah Tour, organized as an optional extra. (55 USD) Ateshgah, considered sacred for centuries by different religious groups such as Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, and Sikhism, is one of the three Zoroastrian temples in the world. The complex is believed to have been built in 1713. However, the temple existed from earlier periods and has survived to the present day while preserving its original structure. At Ateshgah, where a continuously burning fire is located above a natural gas source representing eternal fire in the center, this fire is artificially maintained today.  After our tour, transfer to the airport at the time determined by the guide. Following the baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Istanbul at 17:45 on Turkish Airlines flight TK341. Arrival in Istanbul at 19:10 local time and the end of our tour.
