Meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. Following the baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure for Basel at 07.30 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. After arriving in Basel at 09.40 local time, we depart with our vehicle waiting for us in the area for Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region. While exploring Strasbourg, you will feel as though you are journeying through history in one of Europe’s largest cobblestoned medieval districts. With its nature and historical structures reminiscent of a land of fairy tales, wooden houses, historic medieval churches, cathedrals and numerous works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Strasbourg, which also holds historical importance as the place where the French national anthem, “La Marseillaise”, was written, is a city where Alsatian culture blends with French architecture. During our city tour, participants may also join the Glorious Alsace’s Fairytale Villages (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) tour, which will be arranged as an optional extra, including Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace and Kleber Square. (110 Euros) On our tour, during which we will want to take photographs at every opportunity from beginning to end, the first place we will visit is Egusheim. Egusheim, which received the title of ‘’Favorite French Village’’ in 2013, is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses, reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region, create Equisheim’s postcard-like appearance. Following our tour, we depart for Colmar, famous for its historic medieval buildings, Gothic-style churches and colorful houses. As we stroll through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, the places to see include St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone; Little Venice, which resembles the Italian city of Venice with its small canals; Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses; and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with hundreds of faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a fascinating part of the Alsace region as a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets and historic character. In particular, the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating back to the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church, located in the center of the town, draws attention with its Gothic architecture. Following our tour, our final stop is Riquewihr, one of Alsace’s most enchanting towns, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village fascinates visitors with its old houses adorned with colorful flowers, narrow streets and medieval character surrounded by ramparts. During our tour, we will also see the remains of Riquewihr Castle and feel the medieval atmosphere by walking along the village’s old ramparts. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Germany Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center) tour, which will be organized as an extra. (110 Euros) Our tour begins with departure for Heidelberg, our first stop. While the streets, squares, and buildings of this city make you feel the Middle Ages at every corner, they will take you on a journey through time. A tranquil, elegant, and refined city, Heidelberg will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, a nature-filled oxygen reserve and cultural and artistic center with countless attractions, including its thermal springs and even Europe’s most famous casino. After exploring Baden Baden, a unique international travel destination that has inspired many famous writers and composers, we will give you free time at the outlet center, where many famous brands are located together. Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne) tour. (130 Euros) Our first stop on the tour is the natural wonder of the Rhine Falls, which is considered the largest waterfall in Europe, with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. Embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, this place is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After our enchanting walk, accompanied by the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, stunning Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we head to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foothills of the Alps. In this enchanting city, we see the Lion Monument, built in memory of 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, after which we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Freiburg, the fourth-largest city in Germany, is a medieval city steeped in history, located near the Black Forest and captivating visitors with its natural beauty. During our city tour here, the Münster Cathedral, one of the symbols of the city and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture, Markthalle (Covered Market), Münsterplatz (Main Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau will be among the places to see. Following our tour, departure for Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that encompasses both modern and historical textures and contains many treasures despite its small area. During our city tour in this city, Basel Cathedral, home to the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam, the city’s main square Marktplatz, and Hotel Les Trois Roi will be among the places to see.
