2. DAY                 BARCELONA

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off for the Girona & Figueras Tour (80 Euro), which we will organize as an extra with the participation of our guests who wish to join. In our tour, we start with Girona, the richest city in the region, established on the banks of the Onyar River and at first glance reminiscent of Florence. Girona is a charming medieval city worth seeing with its narrow streets and cathedral; it is also the city where the cinema scenes for the film Perfume were shot. In our panoramic tour, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, houses with mezuzahs, the Jewish Quarter, Rambla, and famous shops. After free time, we head towards the city of Figueras with views of the Pyrenees Mountains. The town has such an impressive atmosphere that it inspired the border-defying painter Salvador Dali, admired by the whole world, throughout his life. Here we will visit the museum-house that the famous surrealist painter "Salvador Dali" decorated with his own hands. In this museum, where the value of each work is expressed in millions of dollars, after our visit to the museum where he depicted his immortal love Gala and where his thought-provoking works are located, our tour ends. Guests who wish may join the evening activity Flamenco Night (65 Euro), which our guide will organize optionally. Overnight at our hotel.

Carcassonne, one of the most magnificent castle-cities that have survived to the present day, was restored in 1997 and added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. After our tour, our journey to Marseille continues. After our arrival, in the panoramic city tour, sights to be seen include the Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica dating from the 19th century, the Old Port, and Marseille Cathedral. Then our next stop is Arles. This city, which hosts Van Gogh's most important paintings, "Starry Night" and "The Langlois Bridge and Woman with an Umbrella," is also known as the place where he cut off his ear in a fit of rage. In the city where he stayed for about 14 months, he also hosted Gauguin. Apart from the place where the painter painted "Starry Night," we will also visit the 25,000-seat amphitheater built in the Roman period and its lovely narrow streets in panoramic view.
