Life Aboard Cruise Ships and Brief Information

We can describe cruise ships as floating deluxe hotels equipped with the latest technology. You can follow the daily schedule indicating the activities from the ship’s newspaper delivered to your room every evening. You can think of this newspaper as a bulletin containing all the information about what will happen on the ship that day, including all the activities taking place on board, the weather forecast, information about the port of call, and contact details for reservations at specialty restaurants or the spa. The most widely spoken language on board is English. If you are on a program with a Turkish-speaking guide, our guide will assist you with everything from the ship’s bulletins to restaurant menus and prepare special bulletins for you, our valued guests.

When boarding the ship, you must check in at the desk located at the ship’s entrance, where you will hand over your luggage and passport and provide your credit card details (a deposit will be taken for possible expenses). Once your passport is handed over at the beginning of the trip, it will only be returned to you at the end of the tour. After handing your passport over to the ship, you will be given a Boarding-Card. You will use this card as your passport, your cabin key, and for all transactions you make on board. The Boarding-Card contains various details, such as your first and last name, cabin number, and dining session.

There is a dress code for passengers on board. As the ship hosts special events such as the captain’s welcome dinner and gala night, we kindly ask you to bring elegant and classic outfits with you. You can follow events such as the gala night, welcome dinner, and other special functions through the ship’s newspaper mentioned above. The dress code is also specified in the bulletin.

On cruise ships, there are buffet restaurants where you can eat something at any time for 20 hours of the day. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant included in your fare, there are fast-food outlets and buffets. There are also specialty restaurants on board, such as a Thai restaurant and a steakhouse. You can make reservations at these restaurants in advance and enjoy special dishes prepared by expert chefs. Themed restaurants are subject to an additional charge.

Cruise ships offer many facilities and activities for families with children. There are children’s pools and kids’ clubs where children can spend time on board.

Cruise ships are designed by engineers not to sway during the journey, and ship captains are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the ship, including your cabin. You may smoke on the open deck in areas where there are no signs prohibiting smoking and where ashtrays are provided. Doctors and nurses are available on board. Accessible cabins are available on the ships.
