Magnificent Italy Tour – 7 Nights with Turkish Airlines on October 24 (October 29 Special)
Day 1 Istanbul – Milan
Meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the International Departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. Following baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure to Milan at 06.55 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1873. After our arrival at 08.45 local time, our panoramic city tour begins with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. In Milan, renowned for the richness of its historical and modern landscapes, the Duomo Cathedral, one of the largest and most magnificent Gothic cathedrals in the world; La Scala, one of the world’s oldest opera houses; Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a stunning arched shopping gallery dating from the 19th century; and Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle), with its magnificent architecture, are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, guests who wish may join the Magnificent Lakes (Como & Lugano) Tour. (75 Euros) Our first stop on the tour is Como. Named after Lake Como, with which the city is synonymous, this city is an attraction with a unique natural setting that receives visitors from all over the world. In addition to its architectural beauties reflecting Gothic and Renaissance styles, Como also draws attention for the homes owned by world-famous figures such as Madonna and George Clooney. Our second stop after the tour is Lugano. Lake Lugano is a fascinating lake located in southern Switzerland, at the foothills of the Alps. This lake brings together the cultural and natural characteristics of both Switzerland and Italy. After exploring this city, famous for its magnificent views and elegant shopping streets, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Milan – Verona – Venice
After having breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards Venice’. Along the way, we join the Magnificent Verona Tour’. (The Verona tour is included in the tour price) Located in northern Italy on the banks of the Adige River, it is a historic city with a rich cultural heritage dating back to the Roman period. The city, evoking a sense of aesthetics through history, architecture and literature, is known for Shakespeare’s famous work "Romeo and Juliet"; it attracts visitors with the structure known as Juliet’s house and its balcony. Among Verona’s impressive medieval architectural structures, the Arena di Verona, an amphitheatre dating back to the 1st century, stands out as a magnificent Roman structure and still hosts important concerts. In addition, the city’s narrow cobblestone streets and lively squares such as Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra reflect its rich history and cultural diversity. After our tour, we continue on our way to Venice. Like a historic fairy-tale city dancing on the water, Venice captivates its visitors with its romance and mystery, surrounded like a labyrinth by canals and gondolas. During our city tour, St. Mark’s Basilica and Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Grand Canal, the Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge are among the places to see in Venice. Following our tour, guests who wish may participate in the optional Magnificent Gondola Tour on the Canals of Venice. (40 Euros) During this tour, which we will take in traditional gondolas, one of the symbols of Venice,
we will have the opportunity to see the canals of Venice. Transfer to our hotel and free time at the end of the tour. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 3 Venice – Bologna – Florence
Following the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we set off towards Florence. En route, we will take our Magnificent Bologna tour. (The Bologna tour is included in the tour price.) Bologna is a historic settlement in northern Italy, located in the region between the Apennine Mountains, distinguished by its cultural richness. During the city tour we will take in this beautiful city, Piazza Maggiore Square, the Basilica of San Petronio, the Podestà Palace, and the City Hall are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, we will continue towards Florence. Upon our arrival in Florence, the city where the Renaissance was born, our panoramic city tour begins. Our city tour in Florence, a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel, includes the Duomo Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), the Baptistery, the Old Palace, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria. Following our tour, we will transfer to our hotel and have free time. Overnight at our hotel in Montecatini.
Day 4 Florence – Pisa & Siena & San Gimignano – Florence
Following the breakfast we will have at the hotel, guests who wish may additionally join the Magnificent Tuscan Towns (Pisa & Siena & San Gimignano) Tour’s to be organized. (110 Euros) Our first stop will be the Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of the country’s symbols, famous for its inclined structure. After taking wonderful photos here, we will proceed to the city of Siena, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. With its narrow streets and stone buildings carrying the magic of the Middle Ages, Siena offers visitors an almost time-travel experience; with its historic Piazza del Campo and impressive cathedral, it is like an elegant fortress at the heart of traditional Italian city life. The final stop of our tour will be San Gimignano. San Gimignano is a town in the heart of Tuscany, famous for its stone towers rising like a fairy tale from the Middle Ages. Known as the "Manhattan of the Middle Ages," this impressive settlement is recognized for its 14 tall towers, built as a result of the struggle for wealth and prestige among city-states in the 14th century. With its narrow, labyrinth-like streets and historic buildings, it allows visitors to vividly feel the traces of the past. In addition, this town, offering magnificent panoramic views, enchants visitors with its artistic and cultural riches; its Gothic and Romanesque buildings, historic Piazza della Cisterna, and fascinating frescoes make it a true treasure of history and art. Day 5 Florence – Rome
Following breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Rome’, the country’s largest city and capital. Having once been the center of one of the greatest civilizations in history, the city has been a center of power, culture and religion throughout its approximately 2,500-year existence. The city’s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its magnificent palaces, thousand-year-old churches and basilicas, impressive romantic ruins, grand monuments, ornate statues and elegant fountains, the city possesses an exceptionally rich historical heritage and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The Vatican (St. Peter’s Cathedral), the administrative center of the Catholic denomination of Christianity; the Colosseum, where gladiatorial contests were held; the Roman Forum, located in the center of Ancient Rome and once the site of religious, political and social activities; the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II (Vittoriano Emanuele); the Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi), famous in our country as the Fountain of Love; and the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna) are among the places to be visited. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Rome – Castel Gandolfo & Nemi & Vatican – Rome
Following the breakfast we will have at the hotel, guests who wish may join the extra Magnificent Castel Gondolfo & Nemi & Outlet & Vatican Tour’ scheduled to take place. (85 Euros) Our first stop will be Castel Gondolfo, home to the Papal Summer Palace, known as the summer residence of the Popes. This historic palace and its surroundings are famous for their impressive views and beautiful gardens. We then depart for Nemi Village. Located around Lake Nemi, which was formed inside a volcanic crater, this village is also known as the strawberry village because the area is renowned for its fresh and delicious strawberries. The village is an appealing destination for both tourists and nature lovers, with its historical ruins, narrow stone streets, and beautiful lake views. During the free time provided, you will have the opportunity to explore the village and shop. Following our tour, we will proceed to Italy’s most famous outlet area and have free time. At this outlet area, you will have the opportunity to shop at attractive prices. Following our tour, we depart for the famous San Pietro Square in the Vatican, which is considered the center of Christianity. Upon arrival, free time to visit the basilica and the square. As you walk around the square, the obelisk in its center and the columns surrounding it will truly enchant you. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight.
Day 7 Rome – Naples
Following the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we depart for Naples’. This energetic port city in the south of Italy, overflowing with historical and cultural riches, has a unique character with its lively markets, traditional pizza, and impressive historical ruins, set on the shores of the Mediterranean under the shadow of Mount Vesuvius, offering a magnificent view. Following our tour, guests who wish may join the Magnificent Pompeii Tour’, which will be organized as an optional extra. (70 Euros) In the archaeological area of this Ancient Roman city, which was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 BC and brought to light thousands of years later, you will embark on a profound journey into the era of Ancient Rome, surrounded by astonishingly well-preserved remains of settlements and daily life. Transfer to our hotel afterwards. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 Naples – Istanbul
After having breakfast at the hotel, free time until the time to be determined by our guide. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Town of Sorrento tour, organized as an optional extra. (50 Euros) Sorrento is a charming coastal town located in southern Italy, on the shores of the Gulf of Naples. Known as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is famous for its magnificent sea views, historic buildings, and lemon groves. With its narrow stone streets, traditional Italian architecture, and small boutique shops, it has become an attraction for visitors. We definitely recommend that you do not miss this tour. Following our tour, transfer to Naples Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Istanbul at 19:25 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1880. Arrival at 23:50 local time and the end of our tour.
