While touring Strasbourg, you will feel as though you are travelling through history in one of Europe’s largest cobbled medieval districts. With its fairytale-like nature and historical buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals and numerous works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Strasbourg is also historically significant as the place where the French national anthem, “La Marseillaise,” was written, and it appears as a city where Alsatian culture and French architecture are blended. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kléber Square and the Petit France district, adorned with traditional Alsatian houses, will also be among the places to visit. While strolling through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, we will see St. Martin’s Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone; Little Venice, which resembles Italy’s city of Venice with its small canals; Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses; and Maison des Têtes, a Renaissance building decorated with hundreds of faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region, a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets, and historic character. In particular, Château de Kaysersberg, a castle dating back to the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church, located in the town center, draws attention with its Gothic architecture. Following our visit, we proceed to our final stop, Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting towns in Alsace, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that lend the town its charm. This historic village fascinates visitors with its old houses decorated with colorful flowers, narrow streets, and medieval character surrounded by ramparts. Embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, this place is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep-blue waters. Following our enchanting walk, accompanied by the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, striking Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we head to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foothills of the Alps. In this enchanting city, we conclude our tour after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, before transferring to our hotel. After breakfast, check out of the rooms and depart for Freiburg. Freiburg, Germany’s fourth-largest city, is a medieval city steeped in history, located near the Black Forest and captivating visitors with its natural beauty. During the city tour we will take here, sights will include Freiburg Minster, one of the city’s symbols and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture; Markthalle (Indoor Market); Münsterplatz (Main Square); Rathausplatz; Kaiser Joseph Street; Augustinerplatz; Adelhauserplatz; and Gerberau. Following the tour, depart for Basel Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Istanbul at 18:05 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1926.
