Meeting in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport 3 hours before the flight. Following the baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure for Basel at 08.50 on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1923. After arriving in Basel at 10.00 local time, we will depart with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport for Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region. While exploring Strasbourg, you will feel as if you are travelling through history in one of Europe’s largest cobblestone medieval districts. With its fairytale-like natural surroundings and historic buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals and numerous works of art, it is truly a place worth seeing. Strasbourg also has historical significance as the place where the French national anthem, “La Marseillaise”, was written, and it appears as a city where Alsatian culture and French architecture are blended. During our city tour, we will see Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, and Kleber Square, and participants may also join the optional tour of the Enchanting Alsace’s Fairytale Villages (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr). (110 Euros) Throughout our tour, where we will want to take photographs at every opportunity from beginning to end, our first visit will be to Egusheim. Named the ‘’Favorite French Village’’ in 2013, Egusheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colourful houses, reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region, create the postcard-like appearance of Equisheim. Following our tour, we will depart for Colmar, famous for its medieval historic buildings, Gothic-style churches and colourful houses. As we stroll through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, the St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone; Little Venice, which recalls Italy’s city of Venice with its small canals; Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses; and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with faces, will be among the places to see. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a charming part of the Alsace region as a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colourful houses, narrow streets and historic texture. In particular, the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating back to the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church, located in the centre of the town, attracts attention with its Gothic architecture. Following our tour, our final stop will be Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting cities of Alsace, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that give the town its charm. This historic village captivates visitors with its old houses decorated with colourful flowers, narrow streets and medieval atmosphere surrounded by ramparts. During our tour, we will also see the remains of Riquewihr Castle's and feel the medieval atmosphere by walking along the village’s old ramparts. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Magnificent Germany Duo (Heidelberg & Baden Baden & Outlet Center) tour, which will be organized as an optional extra. (110 Euros) Our first stop on the tour is Heidelberg. The streets, squares, and buildings of this city will take you on a journey through time, making you feel the Middle Ages at every turn. A serene, elegant, and refined city, Heidelberg will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle are among the sights to be seen. Following our tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, a destination surrounded by nature and rich in oxygen, a cultural and artistic center with thermal springs and even one of Europe’s most famous casinos. After exploring Baden Baden, a unique international travel destination that has inspired many famous writers and composers, we will offer free time at the outlet center, where many famous brands are gathered under one roof. Following our tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne) tour. (130 Euros) Our first stop is the natural wonder of the Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. Embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, this place is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After our enchanting walk, accompanied by the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, striking Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we travel to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foothills of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we conclude our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in or around Strasbourg.
After breakfast, checking out of the rooms and departing for Freiburg. Freiburg, Germany’s fourth-largest city, is a medieval city steeped in history, located near the Black Forest and captivating its visitors with its natural beauty. During our city tour here, the Münster Cathedral, one of the city’s symbols and finest examples of Gothic architecture, Markthalle (Indoor Market), Münsterplatz (Main Square), Rathausplatz, Kaiser Joseph Street, Augustiner Platz, Adelhauser Platz, and Gerberau will be among the places to see. Following our tour, we depart for Basel. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that incorporates both modern and historic textures and, although small in area, contains many treasures. During our city tour, the Basel Cathedral, where the grave of the famous Dutch Renaissance writer Erasmus is located, the city’s main square Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Roi will be among the places to see. Following our tour, we depart for Basel Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 18.05 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1926. Arrival at 23.15 local time and the end of our tour.
