Day 1 İzmir – Stuttgart – Strasbourg
Meeting in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport 3 hours before the flight. Following the baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure for Stuttgart at 04.10 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 962. Upon arrival in Stuttgart at 06.15 local time, we will depart for Strasbourg in our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. As you explore Strasbourg, one of France’s most beautiful cities and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as though you are journeying through history in one of Europe’s largest cobblestoned medieval quarters. With its fairytale-like natural surroundings and historic buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals and numerous works of art, it is a place well worth seeing. Strasbourg also has historical significance as the place where the French national anthem, “La Marseillaise,” was written, and it emerges as a city where Alsatian culture blends with French architecture. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square and the Petit France district, decorated with traditional Alsatian houses, will be among the places to visit. After our tour, guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Alsace’s Fairy-Tale Villages (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) tour. (100 Euros) Throughout our tour, during which we will want to take photographs at every opportunity, our first stop will be Egusheim. Named “France’s Favorite Village” in 2013, Egusheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colorful houses, reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region, create Equesheim’s postcard-like appearance. After our tour, we will depart for Colmar, famous for its historic medieval buildings, Gothic-style churches and colorful houses. As we stroll through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, the places to see will include St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone; Little Venice, which resembles Italy’s city of Venice with its small canals; Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses; and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kaysersberg is a fascinating part of the Alsace region, a medieval town in France. It is famous for its colorful houses, narrow streets and historic character. In particular, the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating from the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church, located in the center of the town, attracts attention with its Gothic architecture. After our tour, we will proceed to our final stop, Riquewihr, one of the most enchanting towns in Alsace, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that lend the town its charm. This historic village fascinates visitors with its old houses adorned with colorful flowers, narrow streets and medieval character surrounded by ramparts. During our tour, we will also see the remains of Riquewihr Castle and feel the medieval atmosphere as we walk along the village’s old fortifications. Day 2 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden-Baden – Strasbourg
Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Germany Duo (Baden Baden & Heidelberg) tour. (85 Euros) Our first stop on the tour is Baden Baden, a unique destination offering countless attractions, including its oxygen-rich natural surroundings, cultural and artistic center, thermal springs, and even one of Europe’s most famous casinos. After exploring Baden Baden, an exceptional international travel destination that has inspired many famous writers and composers, we depart for Heidelberg, another magnificent German city. The streets, squares, and buildings of this city will make you feel the Middle Ages at every turn and take you on a journey through time. A serene, elegant, and refined city, Heidelberg will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle are among the sights to be seen. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or its surroundings.
Day 3 Strasbourg – Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen – Zurich – Lucerne – Strasbourg
Free time after breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional Magnificent Schaffhausen Rhine Falls and Swiss Cities (Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne) tour. (110 Euros) Our first stop on the tour is the natural wonder Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with its 150-meter width and 23-meter height. Embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, this place is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After our enchanting walk, accompanied by the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, stunning Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peterskirche, Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. After our tour, we travel to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland, at the foothills of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we conclude our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Strasbourg or the surrounding area.
Day 4 Strasbourg – Basel – Izmir
After breakfast, check-out and departure for Basel. Upon our arrival in Basel, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that encompasses both modern and historic textures and is home to many treasures despite its small area. During our city tour in this city, Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Renaissance writer Erasmus of Rotterdam is located, the city’s main square Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Roi will be among the places to see. Following our tour, departure for the airport at the time specified by our guide. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure for Izmir at 15:15 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ913. Arrival at 19:10 local time and the end of our tour.
