Meeting in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport 3 hours before the flight. Following the baggage, ticket and passport procedures, departure for Frankfurt at 07.05’ on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 910. Upon arrival in Frankfurt at 08.35’ local time, we will depart for Strasbourg with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. While exploring Strasbourg, one of the most beautiful cities in France and the pearl of the Alsace region, you will feel as though you are travelling through history in one of Europe’s largest cobblestoned medieval quarters. With its fairytale-like nature and historical buildings, wooden houses, medieval churches, cathedrals and numerous works of art, it is a truly worthwhile destination. Strasbourg also has historical importance as the place where the French national anthem, “La Marseillaise”, was written, and it stands out as a city where Alsatian culture is blended with French architecture. During our city tour, Strasbourg Cathedral, Rohan Palace, Kleber Square and the Petit France district, decorated with traditional Alsatian houses, will be among the places to see. Following our tour, guests who wish may join the Glorious Fairytale Villages of Alsace (Eguisheim & Colmar & Kaysersberg & Riquewihr) tour, which will be organised as an optional extra. (110 Euros) Throughout our tour, during which we will want to take photographs at every opportunity, our first visit will be to Egusheim. Named the ‘’Favorite French Village’’ in 2013, Egusheim is a village where history and nature dance together. Its colourful houses, reflecting the typical architecture of the Alsace region, create Equesheim’s postcard-like appearance. Following our tour, we depart for Colmar, famous for its medieval historical buildings, Gothic-style churches and colourful houses. While strolling through Colmar’s remarkably well-preserved streets, the places to see include St. Martin Cathedral, built entirely of pink stone, Little Venice, which resembles the Italian city of Venice with its small canals, Maison Pfister, one of Colmar’s oldest houses, and Maison des Tetes, a Renaissance building decorated with hundreds of faces. Our third stop on the tour is Kaysersberg. Kayserberg, a medieval town in France, is a fascinating part of the Alsace region. It is famous for its colourful houses, narrow streets and historic texture. In particular, the Château de Kaysersberg castle, dating back to the 13th century, is one of the town’s most prominent landmarks. The Sainte-Croix Church, located in the centre of the town, draws attention with its Gothic architecture. After our visit, we proceed to our final stop, Riquewihr, one of the most captivating towns in Alsace, featuring numerous half-timbered houses that lend the town its charm. This historic village enchants visitors with its old houses adorned with colourful flowers, narrow streets and medieval character surrounded by ramparts. During our tour, we will also see the remains of Riquewihr Castle and feel the medieval atmosphere while walking along the village’s old ramparts. A serene, elegant, and refined city, Heidelberg will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and colors. During our city tour here, Hauptstrasse, Marktplatz Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle are among the places to be seen. Following our tour, our second stop is Baden Baden, an oxygen-rich destination surrounded by nature, a cultural and artistic center, and a place offering countless facilities, including thermal baths and even Europe’s most famous casino. After exploring Baden Baden, a unique international travel destination that has inspired many renowned writers and composers, we provide free time at the outlet center, where many famous brands are located together. (130 Euros) Our first stop is the natural wonder of Rhine Falls, which holds the title of Europe’s largest waterfall with a width of 150 meters and a height of 23 meters. Embraced by the powerful branches of the Rhine River, this place is a paradise where you will find peace while watching the dance of the deep blue waters. After our enchanting walk, accompanied by the power of the water and the impressive scenery, our second stop is Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, which welcomes millions of visitors every year with its historic center, striking Gothic-style churches, and historic buildings. After seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. Following our tour, we travel to Lucerne, a historic city located in central Switzerland at the foothills of the Alps. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who were martyred while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we end our tour and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in or around Strasbourg.
After breakfast, check out of the rooms and depart for Basel as indicated by our guide. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Basel, Switzerland’s third most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is a magnificent city that encompasses both modern and historical textures and contains many treasures despite its small area. During our city tour in this city, the places to be seen include Basel Cathedral, where the tomb of the famous Dutch Renaissance writer Erasmus is located, the city’s main square, Marktplatz, the Government Building, and Hotel Les Trois Roi. After our tour, depart for Basel Airport. Following the baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Izmir at 14:15 on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ 913. Arrival at 19:10 local time and the end of our tour.
