Day 1 | Istanbul – Casablanca - Marrakech | First Step into Morocco
After completing passport and customs procedures at the Air Arabia Airlines counter in the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport, departure to Casablanca at 00:10 with Air Arabia Airlines scheduled flight 3O438. After our arrival in Casablanca at 03:15 local time, we transfer to Marrakech with our vehicle waiting at the airport. After arriving in Marrakech and having breakfast at the hotel, we begin exploring Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most captivating cities. In this unforgettable city tour of this exotic destination known as the Red City, where history, culture, and local life intertwine, we will first visit Bahia Palace, considered one of the most elegant examples of Moroccan architecture, notable for its finely decorated courtyards, mosaics, and Andalusian-inspired gardens. Built in the 19th century, the palace offers impressive traces of aristocratic life from the period. Afterwards, the minaret of Koutoubia Mosque, one of Marrakech’s landmarks and notable for its majestic structure dominating the city skyline, will be viewed panoramically. This impressive 12th-century structure is among the most important works of traditional Moroccan architecture. Next, Majorelle Garden, preserved by the famous French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and enchanting with exotic plants, cactus collections, and iconic shades of blue, will be visited. These gardens, a peaceful escape amid the city’s lively atmosphere, also offer unique photo opportunities for photography lovers. During our city tour, traditional bazaars (Souk) where you can feel Marrakech’s authentic texture will be visited; free time will be given in the colorful streets filled with spices, handwoven carpets, leather goods, traditional handicrafts, and local delicacies. Continuing our tour, we will visit Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is considered the heart of Marrakech. This special city, with its whitewashed houses, blue-shuttered streets, and seaside town atmosphere, evokes the Aegean coast for visitors, especially with its architecture and peaceful lifestyle reminiscent of Bodrum. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to see up close the argan trees unique to Morocco and quite rare in the world. We visit a traditional argan cooperative to discover the production process of products obtained from these valuable trees, which grow only in certain regions of Morocco. Here, there will be an opportunity to learn about and shop for natural argan oils, produced entirely by hand, and their use in cosmetics and gastronomy. After arriving in Essaouira, we begin exploring the city. Throughout its history, the city has been influenced by Portuguese, Berber, and Arab cultures; among the sights to see are the magnificent ramparts overlooking the Atlantic coast, the historic harbor area, and the fishing port famous for its blue boats. We will have the opportunity to experience Essaouira’s unique atmosphere by walking through galleries, handicraft shops, and narrow stone streets that reflect the city’s artistic spirit. During free time, you can try fresh flavors at seafood restaurants, walk along the coast, or enjoy shopping in the city’s authentic bazaars. After our excursion, we return to Marrakech. Day 3 | Atlas Mountains and Agafay Desert
After breakfast, we depart for our Atlas Mountains tour to discover Morocco’s enchanting nature. As we head toward the Ourika Valley, located about 40 kilometers from Marrakech and standing out with its lush greenery, we will enjoy a pleasant journey accompanied by traditional Berber villages, impressive mountain views, and the region’s unique natural beauty. In this special area at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, we will have the opportunity to get to know the local way of life more closely; natural beauty along the river, terraced structures, and traces of authentic Berber life will be explored. Photo stops and excursions around the area will allow us to experience the mesmerizing atmosphere of the region. After our tour, for an unforgettable extra experience, we travel approximately 55 kilometers to Agafay Desert. (65 Euro) Known as Morocco’s stone desert, Agafay stands out with its unique scenery and offers a distinctive atmosphere unlike classic sand deserts, with its rocky texture and views of the Atlas Mountains. We will have the chance to watch the captivating sunset in the desert, then have dinner at a special camp prepared in a traditional Moroccan concept; with local music, folkloric shows, and an authentic atmosphere. Day 4 | Marrakech – Rabat - Casablanca
After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures and depart for Rabat, Morocco’s modern capital and the center of royal administration. During our journey of approximately 325 kilometers between Marrakech and Rabat, we will have the opportunity to observe Morocco’s different geographical textures. Upon arrival in Rabat, a panoramic city tour will be conducted and the city’s most important historical and cultural points will be visited. First, we will see the magnificent Hassan Tower, one of Morocco’s most important symbols, whose construction began in the 12th century. Although unfinished, this monument is considered one of the country’s most impressive historical structures and is among Rabat’s symbols. Continuing our tour, we will visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, the eternal resting place of important members of the Moroccan royal family, reflecting the elegant details of traditional Moroccan architecture. Standing out with its white marble workmanship and magnificent architecture, the structure sheds light on the country’s modern history. Afterwards, the Royal Palace, one of the official residences of the Kingdom of Morocco, will be viewed panoramically. For group tickets, airline rules apply, and according to the group ticket rule, if the outbound flight cannot be used, the return flight cannot be used either.
For flights departing from Turkey, the general baggage allowance is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline and the destination country. On domestic flights in the destination country, this weight may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not under the responsibility of Lidya Tour.
If the number of people participating in the package tour is insufficient, tour cancellation will be notified to the consumer 21 days in advance.
The tour route specified in the tour program is an example route, and the route may change.
City sightseeing tours may be conducted the next day/days depending on the arrival time in the city.
The excursions specified in the programs may, at the discretion of the guide, be carried out on a different day/days other than those specified for any reason.
Alternative tours on the route are conducted provided that at least 6 people from the group participate. Guests who do not want to participate will be left at the rest stop.
During busy periods such as fairs, congresses, and seminars, hotel accommodations may be outside the city.
Tours or excursions that are not permitted to be visited or undertaken by local authorities for any reason will not be conducted. Alternative tours can be carried out if there is a minimum participation of 20 people; if there is less participation, they may be carried out at the discretion of the guide and, if necessary, with prices adjusted. Lidya Tour cannot be held responsible for the inability to carry out these excursions or tours.
Entrance fees to museums and historical sites are not included in the prices.
